MICHAEL JOSEPH Classic, Beggars Banquet 1968
Rolling Stones album Beggars Banquet came out in 1968. The album's original cover art, depicting a bathroom wall covered with graffiti, was rejected by the band's record company, and their unsuccessful dispute delayed the album's release for months. In 1968, Michael Joseph photographed pictures for the album during a weekend in Sarum Chase, Hamstead, London. It was rumored to release the album with this cover image, instead it became a cover representing an invitation card for a dinner invitation. 1960s was a time of cultural revolution. From small clubs to giant festivals such as Woodstock, the music became the heart of a new generation battle for Love, Peace and Understanding.
