On a summer day in Rio, the sunset isn’t just an end to daylight—it’s an event. As the golden sun dips below the horizon, crowds gather along the beaches, breaking into applause as the sky ignites with color.

I spent over 26 hours photographing this breathtaking scene, capturing the rhythm of life along Rio’s coastline. From the early morning surfers riding the first waves to beachgoers basking in the midday heat, the energy was palpable. As night fell, the beach transformed- music filled the air, lights shimmered across the water, and the pulse of the city continued well into the darkness.

It was a truly magical experience, witnessing and preserving the seamless flow of time from day to night in one of the world’s most vibrant cities.
